The smaller oval ports should help your throttle response as well. The stock valve sizes for these heads are only 2.06 intake and 1.72 exhaust. It's really a toss up on which ones to use as the 049's flow more but the 781's will give a little more compression. Personally, I went with the 781's and had 2.19 intake valves and 1.88 exhausts put in.
