WebI use lxappearance to set my gtk themes on i3wm. For now, yes, it does seem to work, at least on sway. Not sure if it'll keep on working though. I set my GTK4 theme by setting the environment variable GTK_THEME. I did it globally via /etc/environemnt but other methods like your ~/.bashrc should also work. But where can I set the icon theme then ...
